Acceptance to Major Requirements
Course Requirements: 8 credits of English courses, including 4 credits above the 100-level. Minimum GPA for major coursework: 2.00 GPA. Minimum Cumulative GPA: 2.00
If pairing an English Major with a Secondary Education Minor, students also must meet the Education Departments admissions requirements, including a 2.50 GPA in cumulative, major, and Education coursework.

English Major with a Secondary Education Minor
Students may combine an English Major with a Secondary Education Minor and graduate fully prepared for a career in teaching. This major allows students to pursue a career in teaching while expanding their knowledge of literature and writing, and developing their ability to think clearly, critically, and creatively.
Students in this program meet the same requirements as do other English majors. Secondary Education minors must also meet the requirements of the Education Department. Students are strongly encouraged to contact an English Secondary Education advisor as soon as possible in their college career, preferably as first-year students.Students who transfer to these colleges should see an English Secondary-Education advisor before registering for classes. Students should contact both the Education and the English Departments for detailed information on their programs.

Graduation Requirements:
In addition to the Integrations Curriculum, all undergraduate students must meet the following minimum degree requirements to earn their degree from CSB and SJU.
Credits: 124 total credits, 40 of which must be from upper division coursework
GPA: 2.0 or higher*
Residency: At least 24 of your last 32 credits must be completed at CSB and SJU
