The Undergraduate Leadership Minor at CSB+SJU, developed through the Center for Business & Leadership, embodies the institution’s commitment to cultivating ethical, adaptive, and purpose-driven leaders. Rooted in the Benedictine values of community, stewardship, humility, and respect for all persons, the minor integrates interdisciplinary coursework currently in the academic catalog with applied, experiential learning to prepare students to lead in an increasingly complex and interconnected world. As a values-driven complement to the liberal arts and business education at CSB+SJU and the forthcoming True North Initiative, the minor offers students a structured academic pathway to develop critical leadership competencies while addressing real-world challenges through ethical discernment and human-centered decision-making. By combining theory, self-awareness, communication, and action, the program prepares graduates to be servant leaders who uplift individuals, organizations, and communities.
