Transfer Guide
This guide provides information on courses that fulfill specific requirements in the Integrations Curriculum at the College of Saint Benedict (CSB) and Saint John’s University (SJU). Certain components of our Integrations Curriculum must be completed at CSB/SJU and cannot be completed with transfer coursework.
Transfer Credit Evaluation Policies
The evaluation of transfer credits is completed by the Registrar’s Office and is based on a student’s official transcript(s). Transferable courses are defined as courses that are similar to a course offered at CSB/SJU, in which a grade of “C” or better was received in an undergraduate course. The Registrar’s Office evaluates coursework for credit and applicability towards CSB/SJU’s Integrations Curriculum requirements. Academic departments are responsible for evaluating the applicability of coursework toward a student’s major or minor. Note: A minimum of three semester credits is required to complete a CSB/SJU integrations curriculum requirement.
Transferring coursework to CSB and SJU.
Guidelines for students with credits from 2-year or 4-year institutions who have NOT completed an Associates of Arts (AA) Degree at a Minnesota institution, nor the 2-year MN Transfer Curriculum (MNTC).
Students must earn a grade of "C" or higher for any course to transfer to CSB or SJU.

If Learning Foundations is satisfied by a college level writing course, Learning Explorations (INTG 205), a 2-credit course, becomes a required course to ensure the student completes content unique to the Learning Foundations course. * |
| Theological Explorations (THEO 100) | May be satisfied by a college level introductory Theological Studies, Religious Studies or World Religions course |
| Cultural and Social Difference:Identity | Courses that include all three of these components: gender, race and ethnicity |

INTG 205 is only an option for those who are transfer students to CSB and SJU. All new incoming students will be required to complete INTG 100.
This policy is effective for new incoming and transfer students entering Fall 2020 or later.
Transferring with the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MNTC) or an Associate of Arts Degree (AA) earned in the Minnesota State Colleges and University System (MNSCU)
Completion of the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) or of an Associate of Arts degree (AA) from a regionally accredited institution will satisfy our foundational integrations curriculum courses. There are additional integrations curriculum requirements that remain to be completed, many that are often attached to other general education or major/minor courses.
Students must earn a grade of "C" or higher for any course to transfer to CSB or SJU. If a lower passing grade was earned for a course, the requirement will be satisfied, but no course credit will be awarded.
