The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University offer a pre-professional program in chiropractic. Students complete prerequisite coursework as outlined by the different accredited chiropractic programs. Upon completion of the prerequisite coursework, the student is eligible to apply to colleges and universities offering a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Majors that students frequently pursue along with the pre-chiropractic requirements include biology, exercise and health science, nutrition, and psychology.

Generally, students should complete 24 semester credits in the Life and Physical Sciences with at least half of the courses including a lecture and lab component. Students usually fulfill the prerequisite by completing BIOL 101, BIOL 201, BIOL 325, BIOL 326; CHEM 125, CHEM 201, and PHYS 105. Additional courses may be required based on the requirements of specific chiropractic programs. Volunteer, shadow, or internship experiences in the field of chiropractic medicine are frequently recommended.

Due to the differences in prerequisite courses between chiropractic programs, students should work closely with their faculty advisor in planning their pre-professional program. Students should meet with the faculty advisor early in the fall semester of their first year.
