Council of Independent Colleges (CIC)
Saint Benedict's, Saint John's and the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) have an online sharing consortium. CIC-OCSC helps member institutions support student success, expand curricular offerings, drive enrollment by engaging collaboratively. The Consortium is powered by Acadeum Course Share, and is designed to allow cross-registration for courses on any of the CIC campuses. The CIC Consortium offers expands opportunities for CSB and SJU who want or need to take summer coursework. CSB and SJU have pre-approved online course offerings from peer institutions for automatic credit and grade transfer upon completion.
Students must register to access the Acadeum Course Share in order to browse course options and request enrollment from the catalog of available courses. These courses are offered online with start dates throughout summer. These additional courses are offered through our partnership with the CIC Consortium and maintain the same academic quality and rigor that Saint Ben’s and Saint John’s continuously provides.
Registration for consortium courses is limited Undergraduate Students during the summer term. Courses are available on a space-available basis.
